2008 年 5 月 30 日,西雅图菲律宾社区公司举行活动,庆祝新近装修和扩建的社区中心开业,该中心位于马丁路德金路 5740 号。西雅图菲律宾社区中心的前身为 1935 年成立的西雅图菲律宾联邦委员会,它为菲裔美国人社区提供教育计划、老年人护理、舞蹈和语言课程以及辩护服务。新的中心设立在该组织的长期办公地点之中, 即马丁路德金南路,这是该团体于 1965 年购买的前恩派尔保龄球馆 (Empire Bowling Alley) 所在地。
