湖脊公园 (Lakeridge Park)和泰勒溪 (Taylor Creek)(西雅图)

湖脊公园毗邻西雅图东南部的泰勒溪和死马谷 (Deadhorse Canyon),占地面积超过 35 英亩。该公园坐落于 68th Avenue S 和 Rainier Avenue S 交汇处之南,恰好处于西雅图市的管辖范围内。泰勒溪是西雅图第四大河流,因 Taylor Mill 而得名。Taylor Mill 是一家 19 世纪的锯木厂,坐落于美丽的华盛顿湖之滨。泰勒溪流经死马谷后汇入华盛顿湖。相传一匹马儿常在峡谷地区出没,最终死于山涧内,“死马谷”便由此得名。开发 商 E. S. Goodwin 于 20 世纪 20 年代对湖脊街区进行了规划。之后,西雅图市于 20 世纪 40 年代在死马谷修建了湖脊公园。近年来,公园、峡谷、小溪已被纳入城市河流重建计划,旨在吸引鲑鱼重新回到河流中产卵繁殖。
