Benefits of Membership

SAA strives to fulfill its statement of purpose through regular meetings hosted by local repositories, featuring programs and/or tours. SAA also works with other organizations to sponsor, develop, or bring continuing education seminars or workshops to the Seattle area. Members receive occasional newsletters and are individually notified of meetings and special events.

Getting Involved

Anyone who works with, or who has an interest in the preservation and use of specialized research materials is welcome to join Seattle Area Archivists. Our members include archivists, librarians, and records managers, as well as professionals in the museum and cultural heritage fields who represent a wide spectrum of public and private organizations and institutions throughout the Seattle area, including:

  • Libraries and museums
  • Historical societies
  • Local, state, and federal government agencies
  • Academic archives and special collections
  • Corporate archives
  • Religious archives
  • School archives

How to Join

Annual dues are $15 and the membership year runs from September 1-August 31. (Click here to download a membership application in PDF format.) Please send your completed application form and your check made payable to SEATTLE AREA ARCHIVISTS to:
