Skagit County Historical Museum turns 40 - July 31
The Skagit County Historical Museum will mark “40 years at the top of the hill” on Thursday, July 31, with free admission for all visitors and a full schedule of activities. At 11:30, Hands-on-History Demonstrations in Textile Arts with Curator of Education Janet Oakley; at 1:00, Anniversary Cake Cutting and Refreshments with Curator/Registrar Pat Doran discussing “40 Years at the Top of the Hill”; at 1:30, “Secrets of the Museum” Gallery Tour led by Pat Doran; at 2:00, “Lost Cities of Skagit” Gallery Tour led by Librarian Mari Densmore and at 2:30, “A Closer Look at Coast Salish and Pioneer Life” Gallery Tour by Janet Oakley. Bellingham - Territorial Courthouse Sesquicentennial - September 6
On September 6, beginning at 11:00 a.m., come celebrate the 150th Birthday of the Territorial Courthouse in Bellingham. Stop by and check out the restoration work on Washington's oldest brick building, located at 1308 E Street. Live music, tours and good eats will be available.


Model Railroad Show at White River Valley Museum in Auburn - September 13 and 14
Get on the right track to fun Sept. 13 and 14, 11 a.m. – 4 p.m., and celebrate the trains that helped shape Auburn and surrounding areas with our family-friendly Annual Model Railroad Show offering hands-on experiences for all ages.
