Vào tối ngày 11 tháng Chín, 2010, cộng đồng Ethiopia mừng lễ Kiddus Yohannes, Năm Mới Của Người Ethiopia và việc Ethiopian Community Mutual Association đã mua được một trung tâm cộng đồng tại 8323 Rainier Avenue S tại khu vực Rainier Beach ở vùng đông nam Seattle.
