Point 2: The View from the Top
You've seen the new Space Needle from all points in the city, but once you exit the Monorail at the fairgrounds, you'll gasp in awe as it towers above you. It costs only a dollar a person to ride to the top, so let's go!

Atop the needle, you'll be rewarded with a sweeping 360-degree panorama of Seattle and Puget Sound. Looking down, you'll get a tremendous overview of the fairgrounds. You'll be exploring most of this today, so make a note of the places you'd like to visit.

You might consider coming back to the Space Needle some evening when you're out on the town. Dinner and a cocktail at the Eye of the Needle restaurant averages only $7.50 per person, and the rotating view during your meal is priceless!
