Point 2: W Olympic Place
A landmark example of developer George Kinnear's work, the Del a Mar Apartments (1909), stands at the corner of 2nd Avenue W.

Kinnear Park, a few blocks west on W Olympic Place was donated to the city by Kinnear in 1889.

The flamboyant Chelsea Apartments facing Kinnear Park was designed by Harlan Thomas and built in 1907. It was once one of the city's most prestigious addresses and housed an early Montessori School.
